See what your assistant is doing

While you wait for an answer, the web chatbot now shows what the assistant is doing. A spinner and a short status update as it searches documentation, writes the answer, and checks cited sources.

Progress appears in Instant, Auto, and Think modes. When the assistant runs another documentation search, the status reflects that step. The indicator disappears once the answer is complete.

The updated widget shows progress by default. If you prefer the classic loading dots, add loading-indicator="dots" to your widget:

This setting also works on biel-bot, biel-search, and biel-search-button. Sites using a pinned widget version need to update it to get the new display and setting.
