What Biel will read from Notion

Four content types, one chatbot.

Notion is where most teams park their internal knowledge: runbooks, decision logs, onboarding. Biel will turn that into self-serve answers without exporting any of it.

Workspace pages

Internal handbooks, runbooks, onboarding guides. Every page in a workspace becomes searchable through natural-language questions.

notion.so/<workspace>

Databases

FAQ databases, decision logs, project pages. Biel reads the rendered content and uses property values as metadata for citations.

Filter by tag/status

Linked subpages

Notion's nested page model gets traversed in full. Citations resolve to the exact subpage and block.

parent → child → grandchild

Public Notion sites

Already supported today via URL indexing. Point Biel at the public Notion URL and it crawls the rendered site.

What we can answer today

When will the native Notion integration ship?

Active development. We are pacing it behind Confluence and GitHub integrations, which are already live. Sign up for early access and we will notify you when private-workspace support enters beta.

Can I use Biel with Notion today?

Yes, if your Notion content is public. Publish the workspace or specific pages, then add the public URL as a source in your Biel.ai project. Biel crawls the rendered HTML the same way it does any URL source. Private workspaces require the native integration we're building.

Will it support private workspaces?

Yes. The native integration uses the Notion API with a workspace-level connection (similar to how Confluence works today), so private content stays private and citations carry workspace context.

What about databases and properties?

Databases are first-class. Property values (tags, status, owner) become metadata that helps Biel scope answers, for example only citing pages tagged "Public" or pages in a specific database view.

How will it stay in sync?

Scheduled re-indexing on the cadence you choose, with optional webhook-based sync for high-velocity workspaces. Same model as the Confluence integration.

Where does our content go?

EU-hosted by default. GDPR compliant. Your Notion content is read for indexing only and never used to train models.
