API v2 is here, and it can do everything the dashboard can

API v2 is available today on Business and Enterprise plans.
The first version of the API focused on a handful of capabilities, mostly around sources and sync. API v2 expands that scope across the entire platform. If you can do something in the dashboard, you can now do it over HTTP.
A few examples:
- Pull chat and search analytics into Grafana, so content gaps appear in the dashboards your team already monitors instead of a tab someone opens once a month.
- Sync sources and update projects automatically whenever new documentation ships.
- Send conversations to your support tools, or delete them automatically to match your retention policy.
Sources now support the full catalog, including files, sitemaps, Git repositories, OpenAPI specifications, and Confluence spaces. There are also new endpoints for managing teams and members.
The API reference includes every endpoint, along with example requests.
If your integration only uses widgets or search, you don't need to make any changes.
For existing direct API integrations, API v1 will continue to work. However, it will no longer receive new features and will be retired in January 2027.
The migration guide walks through each change step by step.
